Rebecca E Tenzer MAT, MA, LCSW, CCTP, CGCS, CCATP, CCFT Owner and Head Clinician

Rebecca E. Tenzer MAT, MA, LCSW, CCTP, CGCS, CCATP, CCFP owner and head clinician, has over 18 years of clinical and educational experience in the field of mental health. After college she attended Dominican University as a member of AmeriCorps where she earned her Master's Degree in Teaching. After completing the University of Chicago's Social Service Administration Program (ranked 3rd best in the world for clinical services) with a clinical concentration on becoming a Mental Health Clinician, Rebecca opened her thriving private practice on the north side of Chicago. She is also a Professor of Psychology at the collegiate and master level. Astute Counseling Services began as a way to ensure the township of Lakeview, the City of Chicago/Cook County and the surrounding suburbs all had access to quality mental health care but it has become so much more.

As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT), Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) (Neuroscience), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Certified Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS), Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP), a member of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Society of America and trained in the Gottman Method for couples, Rebecca has treated countless numbers of patients. Rebecca is also a Mental Health Expert and Co-Author for wikiHow with dozens of published articles. She specializes in patients suffering from trauma, depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, grief, women’s issues, fertility/infertility, sexual dysfunction, life/college/career transitions, stress management, family planning, parenting and couple/family therapy. She believes mental health is not something to be ashamed of yet should be embraced as a part of the therapeutic process.

Karina Tovar MSW, LCSW

Karina Tovar MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinician in the state of Illinois. She received her Masters with a concentration in mental health from Loyola University Chicago and has completed the Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional training. Karina is committed to creating a safe space for BIPOC women, men, and couples to find healing, peace and lead a more fulfilling life. As a first generation Latina, Karina is extremely passionate about breaking mental health stigma and generational trauma. Karina speaks both English and Spanish. Her areas of interest include depression, anxiety, those seeking therapy services for the first time, trauma, family dynamics, cultural sensitivity, spirituality, work/life balance, life transitions, managing stress, couples counseling and relationships issues. Karina also works with couples by utilizing the Gottman method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to rebuild relationships experiencing communication issues, infidelity, sexual dysfunction, intimacy, interpersonal conflict, financial stress and crisis.

Karina offers a personalized and integrative approach when working with individuals and couples as she believes that every individual is uniquely and wonderfully made. Karina’s practice style includes examining thoughts, emotions, beliefs and behavior patterns; solution focused therapy; identifying and prioritizing life values; incorporating spirituality and cultural sensitivity; highlighting strengths; crisis intervention and focusing on breath work and mind-body-soul connection. With much empathy, Karina creates a safe, non-judgmental, therapeutic environment to ultimately help her clients get unstuck, work through roadblocks and live a more satisfying life.

Kimberly Thomas MA, LPC, RBt, cctp I, cctp ii Certified

Kimberly Thomas MA, LPC, RBT (she/her/hers) is a talented and passionate professional with experience in anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and interpersonal issues. She is a results-driven and compassionate Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a focus in Forensic counseling, who utilizes her educational background and experience to work with a diverse population of patients. Kim completed her Master’s degree in Forensic Counseling from Alder University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. She helps clients to identify and set realistic and achievable goals for treatment.

 Kim believes that success is defined by the client and takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach to empower her clients. She takes time building the therapeutic relationship in order to foster change and growth while providing the client with a safe space to practice new behaviors and life skills. She helps clients to identify and set realistic and achievable goals for treatment. Kim uses DBT techniques to build and maintain coping skills, interpersonal effectiveness skills, and distress tolerance skills. Kim also integrates aspects of CBT, Adlerian, and motivational interviewing into her therapeutic work. She is trained as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and has completed her advanced training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP II).


Ami Goetz MA, TIC, PEL

Ami Goetz received her Masters from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice (Top-Ranked). She is a compassionate and motivated therapist who strives to create a safe, accepting environment to help clients overcome obstacles, strengthen relationships, and achieve their goals. Ami has extensive experience partnering with individuals from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. She has high interest in the areas of depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, sexual assault, life transitions, grief, disabilities, and relationships. Ami also works well with patients who struggle with executive functioning and time management as a part of her disability background. She utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed approaches, Mindfulness, and Contemporary Psychodynamic Psychotherapy to foster self-acceptance and build resilience.

Ami applies a strengths-based, holistic approach that tailors treatment to each individual’s particular needs. She is certified in Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and practices cultural competency, attunement, and humility to cultivate a nonjudgmental, safe space where the therapeutic relationship can continue to evolve and progress. Ami values transparency, equity, loyalty, and unconditional acceptance which she emulates in each session. She is passionate about partnering with clients to improve their daily lives and achieve their desired outcomes.


Jenna Cronin MA, LCSW, CDMDTP

Jenna C is a Licensed Clinical Therapist and has been working in the field of mental health for over 5 years. Jenna has many different areas of experience and works with a wide range of mental health disorders. She previously worked with acute crisis care patients, many of whom were first responders, completing psychiatric assessments, diagnosing and treatment planning. Jenna also currently works in the Psychiatry Emergency Department of a local hospital in Chicago. She has previous experience treating Austism Spectrum Disorder by providing ABA (applied behavioral analysis).

Jenna’s philosophy of therapy is believing the client is the expert of their own life. Jenna works to help clients move toward whatever goals and values they have decided are important to them. Jenna uses a combined approach to therapy but spends a lot of time working on challenging thoughts and emotions in order to improve behavior. 

Jenna enjoys working with individuals who have depression (competent with suicidal ideation and self harm), trauma and anxiety. She also likes to work with individuals with personality disorders, life transitions and interpersonal struggles. Jenna is trained in DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), CBT (cognitive behavior therapy), RODBT (radically open dialectical behavior therapy), and certified in CPT (cognitive processing therapy), which is an evidenced based intervention used for individuals with PTSD. Jenna is also a Certified Depression and Mood Disorder Treatment Professional (CDMDTP).


Nahime G. Aguirre MA, LSW, ASDCS

Nahime G. Aguirre Mtanous AM, LSW, ASDCS has received her Master’s and Bachelor’s from the University of Chicago, where she specialized her coursework to understand therapeutic applications for neurodivergent folk in a trauma-informed and justice-oriented manner. Nahime’s work focuses on improving the mental health of individual people through community, action, and empowerment. As a first-generation Latina woman with additional Spanish and Latin-American diaspora experience, Nahime helps clients with emotional difficulties surrounding the trauma of immigration, acculturation, and inclusion processes. Her work in both English and Spanish centers the healing of marginalized communities and individuals through different techniques, borrowing from ACT, DBT, psychoanalysis, harm reduction practices, relational theories, and neurodivergent/disability/mad studies on mental health.

Nahime’s previous six years of therapeutic experience have centered on the development of mental wellness for people with anxiety, depression, panic disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and their family members, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), Cognitive delays, Tourette’s, OCD, Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) and any patient with atypical neurological development and neurodivergent presentation. Nahime holds a QIDP certification from the Illinois Division of Developmental Disabilities to conduct supportive services for people with IDD and their families/caretakers.

Nahime’s approach includes harnessing the power of accompaniment to recognize and support individual decision-making, the development of psychological flexibility, identifying core values, and the development of close interpersonal and intrapersonal connections. In this time, Nahime’s therapeutic work and research has received various awards and commendations, including the University of Chicago’s Diversity Award for neurodiversity advocacy, the national Heumann-Armstrong Award for advocacy against discrimination for people with mental illnesses, and a federal LEND fellowship to support research for social and mental health supports for neurodivergent people with disabilities. Nahime’s work has also been cited multiple times in both English and Spanish newspapers, highlighting the need for mental health supports for people with disabilities.


ZACH MCCARTHY, MA, LPC

Zach McCarthy, MA, LPC, received his Master’s in Counseling Psychology from North Park University and is a licensed counselor in the state of Illinois. Through his clinical training, he gained experience with anxiety, depression, Autism, ADHD, interpersonal issues, life transitions and with clients of different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. He has extensive experience working with couples and utilizes the Gottman method and EFT to help couples who experience communication issues, sexual dysfunction, interpersonal conflict and crisis. Zach also specializes in working with neurodivergent couples.

 Zach understands the importance of the therapeutic relationship and works to establish rapport with the clients by creating a welcoming, safe and non-judgmental space. He works from a client-centered approach as he knows there are no cookie cutter solutions in achieving goals. He believes in empowering the client to have full autonomy when making life decisions. Zach supports the use of all therapeutic modalities and has experience using, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

 


Gregory Erickson MA, LCSW, CDMDTP

Gregory Erickson is a LCSW who has over 10 years’ experience working in the mental health field as both a researcher and a clinician. He graduated with a master’s in social work from the University of Chicago’s Social Service Administration and holds degrees in research psychology from Columbia University and in English from Dartmouth College. Greg has worked with adults and older persons from a variety of backgrounds and specializes in treating depression, anxiety, grief, problem substance use, insomnia (CBT-I), relationship distress and difficulties adjusting to stressful life circumstances in work and home life. He is a Certified Depression and Mood Disorder Treatment Professional (CDMDTP) and has extensive experience helping persons who have experienced trauma, abuse, or domestic violence. Greg also works with couples by utilizing the Gottman method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to rebuild relationships experiencing communication issues, infidelity, sexual dysfunction, intimacy, interpersonal conflict, financial stress and crisis.

Greg believes all effective treatment takes place in a relationship characterized by safety, respect, compassion and understanding. He uses a warm, interactive, and holistic approach to therapy that draws on people’s strengths and is tailored to each individual client. He is skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but uses techniques from other therapeutic approaches as well, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. He also uses knowledge from the emerging field of positive psychology to help clients seek out enjoyable and meaningful experiences in their lives even during difficult times. Margaret Annunziata MA, CCATP

Margaret Annunziata received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Through her experience working with adults, families, and adolescents of all backgrounds, Margaret finds it integral to incorporate clients' contexts into the therapeutic setting. Her passion is working with individuals, couples, and families affected by depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, life transitions, societal concerns, interpersonal relationships, and grief. Margaret is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) with advanced training in Applied Neuroscience for treating anxiety, panic and worry. She is also Gottman Level II trained to treat couples in crisis, in need of help with communication, infidelity and a variety of other interpersonal relationship concerns.

One of the main pillars of Margaret’s therapeutic approach is creating a non-judgmental, safe space for clients to develop a deeper understanding of their issues. She focuses her efforts on acceptance, genuineness, and positivity, emphasizing clients’ personal strengths and unique traits. As part of this therapeutic collaboration, Margaret provides psychoeducation to foster awareness and growth in clients’ journey to healing. She incorporates a variety of therapeutic tools and techniques that help clients evaluate their emotional patterns and states. Throughout the treatment process, she guides clients in identifying negative thoughts and behavioral patterns that are interfering with their happiness while helping them master coping skills to improve their quality of life. Above all, Margaret is a firm believer in the power of therapeutic relationships and their ability to foster growth.


Marcelle Karwowski MA, LPC

Marcelle Karwowski MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. She has over 16 years of experience working in mental health and education with all age groups. She has experience working with individuals from diverse social-economic and cultural backgrounds with a wide range of mental health concerns. Marcelle works mainly with anxiety, depression, panic, grief, trauma, life transitions, stress and coping and relationship issues. Her main therapeutic goal is to create a therapeutic alliance, a safe space where patients feel secure in a nonjudgemental environment.

It takes strength and bravery to pursue therapy. Marcelle views her role as a counselor as a privilege and is honored people feel comfortable sharing their personal stories and narrative with her. Marcelle’s professional counseling experience combined with years in the filed of education, make her a compassionate, empathetic, and open-minded therapist. 

Marcelle’s approach is interactive and collaborative. She incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities based on the unique needs of the client. Clients work on understanding how thoughts, behaviors, and experiences impact relationships, daily life, and success. Marcelle empowers clients to find tools to manage present challenges and develop skills to reach personal and professional goals. 


Alexi Peters MA, LCPC, CST (in training)

Alexi Peters MA, LCPC (she/her) is sex-positive, fat positive, queer therapist. With a MA from Adler University, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and actively working towards her license as a Certified Sex Therapist (CST), she takes a warm yet honest approach to therapy strategically supporting clients in achieving their personal and interpersonal goals through actionable work. Alexi primarily utilizes narrative therapy, DBT, and RODBT to work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, eating disorders, body image, LGBTQIA+ and sexual health, including gender identity and affirming needs. She works towards guiding them in building their ideal lives and meaningful relationships to best help enrich their personal journey.


As an open, progressive, and kind therapist, Alexi uses her experience and education to empower her clients. She has spent years developing her skillset and ability to analyze and empathize with each situation her clients present while maintaining a calm, relatable composure, and continue to build her knowledge and skills. Through personal and professional experience as a therapist, Alexi has come to understand and truly appreciate the utmost importance of establishing and maintaining happy and healthy goals, ideals, and motivation.


Josh Fraccaro msw

Josh Fraccaro graduated with an MSW in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.  he has extensive experience working with young adults and adults struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, trauma, ADHD, life-transitions, relationships, low self-esteem, college/grad school adjustment, communication issues and athletic and performance psychology.  Josh’s goal as a therapist is to assist clients to develop positive and healthy coping skills that empower them to navigate current and future issues while improving self-regulation and creating a stronger and healthier mindset.  By utilizing a Strengths-based approach, Josh takes into consideration biological, psychological, social and environmental factors that might be contributing to the challenges clients are facing.  He works with clients to improve the usage of their strengths and identify new techniques to improve overall mental wellness. Josh is experienced in and utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative therapy to change maladaptive behaviors and thoughts while promoting healthier, more constructive thought patterns that reshape and improve emotional and behavioral functioning.  Josh also works with couples by utilizing the Gottman method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to rebuild relationships experiencing communication issues, infidelity, sexual dysfunction, intimacy, interpersonal conflict, financial stress and crisis.

Josh is experienced in providing trauma-informed therapy creating a safe, consistent space to explore and process trauma.  He is also trained in the relationship of neurodevelopment and trauma which identifies the ways trauma affects the brain and thus your thoughts, feelings, emotions and internal experience.   He is also a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP) who firmly believes in the impact of compassion and empathy in creating a strong therapeutic alliance which provides clients a safe, trusting and non-judgmental space to engage in meaningful and transformative therapy. 


Allie Cetina CCTP, CCFP, CGCS, CAGCS

Allie Cetina has experience working with adults who face trauma, anxiety, panic, depression, social stressors, relationship difficulties, college/life after college stressors, job dissatisfaction and those questioning their identity. Allie received her B.A. In Human Development and Family Studies from Michigan State University, followed by her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loyola University. Allie is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, CCTP, a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP) and is knowledgeable about the field of education.  Allie believes that thoughts and feelings are temporary and do not have to define a person’s life trajectory.

Allie brings a culturally responsive and strengths-based approach to her work with individuals. She takes a person’s background and environment into consideration when working with clients. Allie’s focus on a person’s successes and personal strengths rather than their deficits, facilitates a positive therapeutic relationship with all of her clients. Allie has experience implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy into her treatment, which allows people to acknowledge how thoughts, feelings, behaviors are all interconnected and to work on creating their personal story. She is a CCFT (Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional) which focuses on hopelessness, stress, emotional burnout and exhaustion. Allie fosters positive growth through her empathetic approach while working with individuals to set treatment goals. She assists clients to reclaim the joy and fulfillment that was lost somewhere along their journey in life.


Jenna Jablonski MA, lpc, CCTP, CCFP, CADC

Jenna Jablonski received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University (CACREP Accredited) along with additional Certifications as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Certified Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS), a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP) and in Substance Use Counseling (CADC). Jenna brings over 10 years’ experience advocating for improved mental health and social well-being of individuals.  She attended Temple University where she majored in Sociology and has since served communities as an AmeriCorps member, overseas scholar, and research contributor focused on reducing health disparities at the University of Chicago. With her combined credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Jenna delivers evidence-based and culturally competent treatment for a wide range of mental health diagnoses and substance use disorders.  Jenna uses an integrated, person-centered orientation to treat adults with a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, panic, couples counseling, life/education/career transitions, trauma, struggles with interpersonal relationships, weight management, self-esteem and body image, chronic mental health issues, and maladaptive coping including challenges with substance use.

Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, Jenna seeks to create a safe space to explore problems, reduce harm, and motivate meaningful change. Skilled in Acceptance and Commitment, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Therapy techniques, her integrated counseling approach assists clients to develop deeper self-awareness and mindfulness, process through underlying feelings and beliefs, improve psychological flexibility, and strengthen coping skills as clients work towards their goals.


Dave Satterwhite MA, CADC Therapist

Dave completed his Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University, where he has developed a wealth of clinical skills and insight treating mental health concerns. He works primarily with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and addictions. Dave is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Prior to Astute, Dave gained experience working in the outpatient addiction field and in various crisis intervention roles, where he learned the unparalleled importance of a strong therapeutic alliance. Dave believes that people heal interpersonally, through the kind of healthy and supportive relationship that therapy can provide.

Taking an integrated approach to counseling, Dave incorporates philosophies and techniques from Psychodynamic Theory, Logotherapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, all through an evidence-based lens of interpersonal neurobiology. Through his culturally-affirming practice, Dave helps clients to explore what their values are and where they originated. In a trauma-informed manner incorporating mind, body and spirit, he holds space for feelings that clients may have previously avoided, felt unsafe to experience or simply not noticed, in order to heal and build a higher tolerance for future emotional distress. In this way, Dave helps his clients to live a fuller life, one more closely and deliberately aligned with their own goals and values.

Dave is well-equipped to help with life transitions, grief and loss, addictions affecting yourself or your loved ones, anxiety, depression and simply helping you develop a fuller, richer understanding of yourself. He believes that the main benefit of therapy is an increase in options—clearer paths around the obstacles in your way, better relationships with yourself and others, and getting more out of your life than you’ve previously thought possible.

Emily Hendricks MA, LCSw, CCTP, CCFP

Emily Hendricks has experience treating adults struggling with anxiety, panic, complex trauma, depression, grief, stress, low self-esteem, and life/college/career transitions. She also works with families and couples experiencing interpersonal relationship issues, lack of connection, disrupted family dynamics, infidelity, communication and sexual issues using the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). She is passionate about building on strengths to foster positive change, Emily has a dynamic and empathetic approach to therapy. She integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic theories, and meditation/mindfulness practices to create an individualized experience for each patient. Emily is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP).

By creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space for clients to address emotional challenges,  identify and reshape negative thought/behavioral patterns, patients are able to address areas of concern while working to build healthier, more joyful lives. Emily earned her master’s degree from the University of Chicago’s SSA program, the same program that owner Rebecca Tenzer attended. She believes strongly in the power of the therapeutic relationship to cultivate self-understanding, healing, and growth.


Annie Dolan ma lpc

Annie Dolan is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in Individual, Couple and Family Therapy. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling with a specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy and has been in private practice for over 12 years. For some individuals, choosing to seek counseling can be overwhelming. One of her main goals is to create an environment that is safe and comforting. She wants her clients to feel relaxed in a nonjudgemental environment. Annie engages her clients to make positive decisions that are needed to create the outcome that is best for their life journey. Annie specializes in working with individuals, couples and families who struggle in one or more areas of their lives due to the loss of a loved one (complex grief/bereavement), couple issues (complex couples), parenting, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, women’s and men’s issues and family or work-life imbalances.

Annie takes a holistic view with her clients, looking at all areas of their lives and tailors her counseling approach to accommodate their needs. Annie is trained in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). As a couples and family systems therapist, Annie believes real change occurs when we work with those closest to us.  She has a passion for helping patients resolve conflicts that interfere in their relationships.  Annie firmly believes that when we are the best person we can be, we can be better for those around us!


Monica Smiley MA, LCSW, BCBA

Monica Smiley MA, LCSW, BCBA graduated from the University of Illinois in 2003 where she majored in Psychology. She then proceeded to get two additional degrees, a Clinical Degree from the University of Illinois as a Mental Health Clinician and an additional degree from Aurora University as a Board Certified Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA). Monica has worked in the field of mental health for her entire adult career in both private practice and as a Professor of Psychology at the collegiate level.

Monica specializes in anxiety, depression, panic, adjustment disorders, life transitions, societal/systemic concerns and interpersonal relationships. Monica works primarily with the Cognitive Behavioral Treatment Model as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, Monica seeks to create a safe space to explore problems and motivate meaningful change. Skilled in Behavior Analysis, Solution-Focused and Cognitive Therapy techniques, her integrated counseling approach assists clients to develop practical coping skills, identify core beliefs and provide behavior modification as clients work towards their goals. Monica strongly believes that therapy is for everyone, a tool to teach continued positive mental heath strategies to create life-long fulfillment.



Chelsea Alarcon MA, LPC, CCFP

It has always been a passion of Chelsea’s to help people build resiliency, self-confidence and ongoing life satisfaction. She feels a sense of great reward from having deep and meaningful connections with others. This is exactly why Chelsea chose to study psychology in college and go on to get a Masters degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology. Many of her clients have never been to therapy before. She thinks it takes a very courageous person to reach out for help and Chelsea truly admires that resilience. There's no better time than now to build up on your strengths and work with a clinical professional to assist you with your areas of improvement.

Chelsea has worked in the mental health field since 2012 and is a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP). She has worked with many different types of people from teens to millennials and aging folks with diverse presenting issues (depression, anxiety, panic, couples therapy, fertility/infertility, family planning, women’s health issues, adjusting to parenthood, career dissatisfaction, trauma, domestic violence etc). She also has worked with many artistic clients (e.g., comedians, writers, actors, social media and bloggers) on issues relevant to their type of work (e.g., blocks in creativity, job performance anxiety, vulnerability). She uses a combination of treatment strategies when working with patients. Chelsea believes it's best to pull in from many different psychologies to meet client needs, work with where they are in the process to make long and short term achievable goals for the future.

Clients come see Chelsea because they want a more direct and interactive approach to therapy. Someone who is a combination of empathetic, challenging and insightful with the clinical skills to treat mild-major mental health concerns. Some clients choose to work on one particular issue in therapy, while others want to address their ongoing life challenges. She tailors her approach and the vision for treatment to meet your specific needs. Chelsea is well-versed in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy and the Gottman Method for a Couples Therapy.
